A Joyful Noise Music Studio is operated by music instructor Karen Flanders. Mrs. Flanders has been a music instructor since 2002 and has been teaching music in Locust Grove in Orange County, Virginia since 2006 with students from Spotsylvania and Culpeper and Orange. Karen earned her Bachelors degree in Music Education in 2002. She holds membership in the local Rappahannock Music Society, the Virginia Federation of Music Clubs, National Federation of Music Clubs and the International American College of Musicians. Mrs. Flanders is currently teaching private music lessons for piano, voice and flute. She teaches from her home studio near Germanna Community College in Locust Grove, Virginia. The studio is located conveniently for students coming from Lake of the Woods, Fawn Lake, Wilderness Shores, Lake Wilderness and other local communities.
The students of A Joyful Noise music studio have the opportunity to participate in several festivals and competitions throughout the year. Some opportunities include the Sonata/Sonatina Festival, Jazz Rags and Blues Festival, National Federation of Music Clubs Festival, Bland Contest, Rappahannock Music Society Scholarship Competition and A Joyful Noise Studio Spring Recital.
